Improving Health - Preventing Disease!
Since 2001, our club has been devoted to contributing to community causes. Beneficiaries include Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Ward 57 at Walter Reed Medical Center, and Make-A-Wish Foundation. In addition, annually we support Toys for Tots, Philabundance, and The Lord's Pantry.

As of 2013 we are putting more emphasis on helping the non-profit Breastcancer.org spread their mission of cancer prevention through exercise, nutrition and lifestyle changes.

Breastcancer.org is a local charity with an international reach. Founded in 2000 by Marisa C. Weiss, MD, a breast oncologist at Lankenau Hospital, it is the world's number one online breast health and breast cancer resource. With close to 17 million visitors it gives women and their loved ones medical resources, solace, advice and a place to learn and share. Our objective at Anu Fitness Club, is to augment the site with a physical presence and financial support that could span the U.S. in the future.

The name Anu comes from the Celtic Goddess of prosperity health and comfort. Anu Fitness Club is a perfect fit for helping people prevent or recover from breast cancer, or any disease!

We are the only health club committed to support Breastcancer.org, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the most reliable, complete, and up-to-date information about breast health and breast cancer. Breastcancer.org was created to address the need for accessible, understandable and compassionate information about breast cancer diagnosis and treatment issues. In 2011 they launched a Global Prevention Campaign that has, at its core, the message that exercise and nutrition are key to the prevention of and recovery from breast cancer. We also have this same message, for all diseases! Their next phase is to "build a movement to actively engage women of all ages to take action to lower their risks of breast cancer" through exercise, nutrition and environmental changes. Our health club is a perfect partner to support Breastcancer.org and their prevention campaign and to promote this message!

For these reasons, in choosing a charity to support, we chose Breastcancer.org, a local charity that helps people around the world, and one that has the same belief that exercise and nutrition are key to maintaining health and vitality. So by being a member of our club, you are helping Breastcancer.org help their 17 million visitors recover from and prevent this disease.
